This month, we had the privilege of welcoming the Kildress First Responders to our school to speak to the pupils about their vital role within the local community.
Primary 7 pupils used this opportunity to develop their understanding of first aid, practising key skills throughout the week. They learned what to do in an emergency situation, including how to make a call for help, how to respond if someone is unconscious, and what actions to take if a person is not breathing.
The children thoroughly enjoyed both learning about these life-saving skills and putting them into practice, building their confidence and awareness of how to respond in real-life situations.
