Primary 1 have made a splash this term, exploring Literacy through our exciting ‘Under the Sea’ topic! Using a play-based approach, our young learners have been revising high frequency words and building their reading skills in creative, hands-on ways.
We had a blast playing word bowling—what a fun way to learn our sight words! Using iPads, we challenged ourselves with exciting memory games featuring our sight words. Matching sentences and captions to the right sea-themed pictures made us feel like real reading detectives.
Our favourite part was setting off on a word hunt, searching our topic books for high frequency words from our list!
