Our Primary 1s had a spook-tacular time on the Haunted Numeracy Trail for Maths Week! Outdoor learning brought numeracy to life as we explored:
- Matching: Sorting the Witches’ washing—collecting socks blown by the ghoulish wind, matching, and hanging them on the line!
- Patterns: Creating magical pattern recipes with the Wizard’s potion ingredients.
- Counting: Counting sets of 1-4 autumn treasures in our Conker Cauldrons.
- 2D Shape: Building 2D shapes with autumn materials in the mysterious Dark Deep 2D Shape Woods.
- Number Formation: Recreating floating ghost numbers in the air using chalk.
- Subitising: Fishing for numicon in the Witches’ Broth and matching them to the right skeleton (numbers 1-5).
