Rainforest Adventures with Wee Critters
P2 had a very exciting visit from Alan from Wee Critters, who came to school with a range of amazing rainforest animals. This visit helped us get ready for our new topic starting in February.
Alan introduced us to lots of fascinating creatures, including Arthur the armadillo, Pablo the Pueblan milk snake, Trevor the toad, Frank the tree frog, Charlotte the Chile rose tarantula, Craig the Madagascan hissing cockroach and Nymphadora the jungle nymph.
The children embraced their inner explorers by wearing their explorer hats and getting hands-on with the animals. They had the opportunity to touch and hold the creatures, and some of the animals even sat on their hats!
As you will see from photos, the children absolutely loved the experience and showed great curiosity and bravery throughout. It was a fantastic way to spark excitement for our upcoming rainforest topic.
