Today in P2, we had great fun completing outdoor numeracy stations as part of maths week. First, we had our potion station where we were exploring capacity. Next, we had a spiders web where we had to find one more less. We also had a shape station where the children went on a trail trying to find as many shapes as possible in our Halloween pictures. Lastly, we had our Numicon race. The children were given a number which they had to build using Numicon and then race in teams to place it in the hoop. We were joined by some P6s who helped us in each station and made our learning even more fun.
We finished the day with completing activities that were hidden on our numbered pumpkins around the playground. These activities ranged from doing star jumps and hopping to finding natural resources around the school to make our numbers.
The children had a great time during our Halloween spooky numeracy and it was great to see all of them so engaged in their learning.
