Primary 1 had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day.
We started the morning with an ICT lesson using Just2Easy, where the children showcased their favourite books and talked about why they enjoy them.
After break, the class rotated around a range of fun literacy activities. We went on a book hunt around the school, created pictures at our Fairytale Land art table, and completed an “I Spy” key word activity using the books we brought in.
After dinner, the fun continued with some party games before the children had a go at being illustrators. We followed a draw-along to create the character The Little Red Hen from our story of the week.
It was a very enjoyable day celebrating reading and stories together.
