The Primary 1 children were so excited to learn about using the clock. We created our own clock using a hoola hoop.
They enjoyed recognising special times of the day, such as lunchtime and home time. We talked about how, when the tall hand is pointing to 12, it means o’clock, and the short hand shows us the hour.
To help everyone practise, we’ve also been playing “What’s the Time, Mr Wolf?” every day. The children have been very enthusiastic, eagerly reading and showing times on their clock each time the wolf called out a time. It’s wonderful to see their excitement as they learn this important new skill!
