P2 had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day together today.
We started by listening to a story as a class before taking part in a fun draw-along with the library, where the children followed step-by-step instructions to draw a character from a book.
The children also designed and decorated their own personalised bookmarks, which they can use when reading their favourite books.
To finish our day, we completed an exciting book hunt around the classroom. The children had a checklist and had to search for books that matched the different things on their list.
It was lovely to see some children dressed as fantastic book characters while others came to school cosy and comfortable in their pyjamas.
We all had a fantastic day celebrating books and the joy of reading together.
